Customized payment receipts help you notify your customers on the successful payment of an invoice or estimate. Enable the Customize payment receipt plugin to auto-generate the payment receipts to your customers.

Add a customized payment receipt to your invoice

To enable Customize payment receipt in an existing invoice format navigate to Settings -> Invoice Formats

Select the invoice format you want to enable the customize payment receipt plugin for and click on the Actions ⋮ button next to the chosen invoice format to Edit and add the plugin.

Or create a new format.

Scroll down to the Plugins section and click on Choose Plugins.

Against the Customize payment receipt plugin click the toggle to switch it On.

A pop out window will help you configure payment receipt fields. The window gives you a receipt preview, i.e., the receipt as received and viewed by the customer. 

The default fields include Customer code, Patron Name, Payment Towards, Payment Ref Number, Transaction Ref Number, Payment Date & Time, Payment Amount, and Mode of Payment. You can remove the non-mandatory fields by clicking on the button on the right hand side.

You can customize the order of the different information fields by simple a drag-and-drop method.

 

You can also add additional fields to the payment receipt from the Available fields section. Simply drag-and-drop the fields you want to include in the receipt. You can add Customer details like Patron Email ID and Mobile no. Along with Billing details like Billing cycle name, Bill date, and Due date

Click Save to save your changes to the payment receipt.

Your Plugins section should show the Customize payment receipt plugin as enabled.

Click Save in the Final summary section to save your invoice format with the customized payment receipt enabled.

Send an invoice with a customized payment receipt

Navigate to Collect Payments -> Create Invoice

From the Select format drop-down list, choose the invoice template with the customize payment receipt plugin enabled and click Select.

Add the various details of the invoice as per your requirement.

Click on the Preview invoice button in the Final summary section to review the details of the invoice. Click on Save & Send to send the invoice with the enabled payment receipt.

Once your customer makes a payment for the invoice, Swipez will auto-generate and send the payment receipt as created and previewed by you.
